About Rivers State University
Rivers State University was formerly known as Rivers state university of science and technology. It is a state government university owned by the Rivers state government.
However, this school was founded in 1980 and is located in Nkpolu-Oroworukwo in Port Harcourt.
Also, it runs post graduate programs for post graduate students. So post graduate students can apply for this program in this institution.

Acceptance Fee
The acceptance fee for both indigenes and non-indigene is N44,000 which should be paid by freshers.
Importanyly, acceptance fee is a non-refundable fee paid by freshers for the acceptance of the provisional admission offered. However, this payment must be made within the stipulated period. Else the admission will be terminated because the validity has expired.
Payment Deadline
The payment deadline is usually before the examination period because you might not be allowed to sit for the exam. This is why students should pay before the end of that academic year.
How To Pay/Payment Procedure (Via School Portal)
- Payment of any kind including school fees should be made through the university’s direct portal @ www.rsu.edu.ng
- Select your program. That is, either post graduate or bachelor’s degree.
- Then select your payment type. That is, what kind of payment you want to make.
- Later on, create an invoice for the payment.
- Finally, proceed to make payments. Remember to print out the payment slip.
Note: the school fees schedule for RSU 2020/2021 academic session is not yet out. however. this information was drawn from 2019 academic session.
